Well, things always work out when you place them in God's hands. The fact that I'm writing in the tone I am is a sign I've changed. I tend to write abstractly, yet right now I'm writing (I would think), more personally and hopefully connected with my readers. I'm going to say a few things and I would like to just first say thanks to everyone who has helped me get to this point.

God has been the biggest person, idea, faith, driving force, in my life since day one, yet I've strayed away from him at times. Recently, though, I found him once again, and with a fervor I had never experienced before, this fervor only possible by the "word" of God in combination with faith. I am happy to say that my existence as a youth has been quite pleasant and enjoyable. I have had a lot of good things come into my life, as well as a few unfortunate things. But as the end draws near to the upstart of my journey in life, a new phase of my "self" and personality is emerging, and the power of God has shown itself to me to let me know that He is here for me and He is in me, and He's calling me to His army, His fellowship. I feel so uplifted and have for the past month and a half. My walk is just beginning, yet it is a strong start and I am quickly picking up speed.

A lot has been shown to me that I could not see before. I can see my path much clearer now and I have an idea of where God is taking me. At the same time there is a lot I do not know, and that is for me to find out along the way when I am much stronger in the word and his love. I'm just so glad for this to all have happened. Everything truly is happening at the "perfect" time, and I cannot hold that up as my work. I am so glad to have all my friends that I do and to have my family that I have that are so much closer to me in spirit and love than they ever truly can be physically.

My goals, which I believe God has set in front of me, are pretty straightforward and seem to me to be pretty darn cool. Only so ..

Prelim: This is the first game I'm going to review, it may seem like a strange one, but I feel like reviewing it. I hope to review more games generally on the unique and different side. If you have any games you'd like for me to review, drop me a line or comment on the blog. Note: I am doing this for personal pleasure, not under any endorsement or prompt from the developers or third-parties.

Game Name: FizzBall
Developer: Grubby Games
Publisher: Garage Games
Released: November 2006

Little did I know when I decided to write a review for FizzBall that the publisher is none other than GarageGames. I should have figured as much though. To give a little bit of intro, GarageGames has been at the forefront of technolgies designed to aid the development and abilities of games and their developers. They've come out with numerous engines (notably the "Torque" engine). What I warmly know them as is the big guys. My #1 all-time favorite game is called Orbz, which was also published thanks to Garage Games (you may recognize it as being on Shockwave.com for sale at one time). The developers for that game were different, but the idea is still the same: to produce stunning games through simplistic gameplay.

FizzBall is not your run-of-the-mill game. It is very 2-D perspective and is drawn up slightly cartoonish, but simply looks that way. The story deals with a professor faced with a problem. All the animals are hungry and they are complaining (or something like that-yes they can talk). I soon began to wonder whether A) PETA was behind this or B)PETA was suing this. The game involves the professor shooting out a "FizzBall" which with enough space will trap *ahem* I mean "rescue" the animals to bring them to a safe environment, the "sanctuary", to eat.

The gameplay is quite simplistic, and it much in tune with the ol' brick/breakout/pong/any other classic g ..

I've been getting into research...now with one and a half College English Research courses under my belt, I've been pondering what I could be interested in researching on my own accord (on my own, free of any time constraints and during the summer no doubt). I believe I've decided to focus my efforts on the one place I know most about, Internet/Computers. Computers being my passion, I know that there can be a fine line between usage and obsession. I hope to delve into the psychological aspects (while not really dealing much with an erudite development) and the physical aspects as well as, with my own experience, the reasons why there is that initial draw to the computer versus human-human interaction and how it can turn to addiction. This decision is at a time when I'm quite in control of my computer usage and I have heavily diluted it's addicting properties (the Lenten season). I shall end this post with a couple questions, I would enjoy any responses you all might have, and I shall open up comments to everyone: Could the world survive without computers? If it could, would it be a better place, or one of worse proportions?

PS: I really don't like asking "what if" questions, but for research purposes, it is somewhat necessary. Again, your thoughts are quite welcomed.

Well, one could have seen this one coming. Should certain circumstances make plans different? Sometimes, but that has to be considered. My life is my life, it's gonna happen when it happens, where it happens, and how it happens, I'm just letting God direct me to the right place, so, I guess I should probably leave this to his awesome decision-making skills too. I know that's the right thing to do, but it's very hard with something like this, but I know I've got to do it. The wind blowing at my back,
Swishing by my ear,
All across the land I see,
Weathered stones a like to where I sit,
Throughout the valley rivers flow,
Meandering along this mountain plain,
Waiting for the moisture-driven rain.

Trees which dot the valleys and plains stand tall and green,
Brown patches standing alongside are what this grand land exemplifies.
Animals upon this ridge I sit,
Never show themselves for fear of us.
The puffy clouds above my head,
Shout out "Rain!" but are dry instead.

Industrial and man-made aren't terms here,
But are simply whispers upon the wind.

Mountain-tops white with snow,
Lease the horizon for now.
Someday, one day, will they crumble?
I wait to see and to hear a giant rumble.
Etched into the sky their beauty is present, majestic, grand and Heaven-sent.

My compass around my neck,
I orient myself to some trees half-wrecked,
Mindful of all that has happened once,
In my throat I feel my lunch.
Volcanoes, glaciers, and rhyolite thru,
The impossibility stuns me,
But the land's story stands true.

The wind insistently blowing still,
I close my eyes and lay real still.
I picture myself back in time,
Through the ages of geologic rhyme,
The course this land has taken for me,
Is simply amazing and a must-see.
I ponder what will happen next,
Ol' Yellowstone blowin' or an Ice Age flowin' on this rock.

My companions, I hope, wonder this too,
While we set down history upon our feet,
And stumble only on unwieldy rock.
Most in this field might dismiss God,
But I see Him here and everywhere,
His hands on it all.
